   Résumé
   Fergus, jeune terroriste de l'IRA est un personnage ballotté: il se prend d'amitié pour l'otage dont il a la garde et le laisse échapper, sans lui sauver la vie pour autant. Puis il se met en quête de la maîtresse de son prisonnier, s'en éprend et découvre qu'elle n'est pas celle qu'il croyait. Passé un sursaut de dégoût initial, il finit par accepter la situation. Mais l'IRA veut remettre la main sur lui. Un curieux personnage d'anti-héros énigmatique que sa plasticité spongieuse semble protéger, à la façon d'une méduse.
